Send feedback or report a bug

Open Notch Design from the menu bar and choose Send Feedback…. Pick Bug, Idea, Design, or Other, add enough detail to reproduce the issue, and optionally include an email if you want a reply. Your message goes straight to the Notch Design team; no account is needed.

Useful diagnostics

In Settings & licenses, choose Export diagnostics…. Review the generated text file before attaching its contents to feedback. It contains the app version, macOS version, Apple-silicon architecture, power state, and recent Notch Design process logs. It excludes tasks, feedback text, email, filenames, wallpaper paths, audio, display identifiers, and preferences.

Safe recovery

If the previous session ended unexpectedly, Notch Design starts with effects disabled. Open the app and re-enable the design you want. If an animation behaves incorrectly, use Disable all effects from the menu bar before changing its settings.

Uninstall

  1. Open Notch Design and turn off Launch at login.
  2. If you enabled lid-closed mode, open the Notch Dock settings and use Remove permission. This restores normal lid-close sleep and removes the narrow sudoers grant.
  3. Choose Disable all effects, then quit Notch Design.
  4. Move Notch Design from Applications to the Trash.
  5. Optional: remove saved preferences by deleting ~/Library/Preferences/app.notchdesign.mac.plist.

If the app was removed before its lid-close permission, reinstall the same signed build, use Remove permission, and then uninstall again. Do not manually edit /etc/sudoers.

Updates

Notch Design uses signed Sparkle updates. You can turn off automatic checks in Settings and use Check for Updates… whenever you prefer.
