Free and Pro
Notch Design is free to download and use on supported Apple-silicon Macs, including a starter set of designs, Battery Rim, and every notch dock utility. Notch Design Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks every design and live style. The price is shown before you buy. People who used Notch Design 1.0 before Pro launched keep every design unlocked at no cost.
Purchases and licenses
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, taxes, and receipts. A Pro license is personal, does not expire, and can be active on one of your Macs at a time. You can move it by removing it from one Mac in Settings & licenses and activating it on another. A license that is refunded or charged back is deactivated.
Refunds
If Pro isn’t right for you, request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing hi@notchdesign.app from, or with, the email address you used at checkout. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Dodo Payments.
Use responsibly
You may install and use the app for personal or internal business use. Do not redistribute the app, bypass update signatures, misuse the feedback service, interfere with the service, or use it to violate another person’s rights.
Lid-closed mode
The optional direct-download lid-closed feature changes a system power setting with administrator approval. Closed computers can become hot. Keep the Mac ventilated, do not place it in a bag while running, and monitor battery and temperature. You can remove the permission at any time from the app.
Availability
Notch Design may change, contain defects, or be interrupted. Keep backups of important work and use macOS power and accessibility controls appropriate for your environment. The app is not designed for safety-critical operation.
Your data
The privacy page explains local settings, system audio, aggregate update/download counts, and explicit feedback delivery.
Open-source software
Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses, listed in the app bundle and the open-source notices.
